Our Mission

At Oscar Peterson Public School we have a dynamic staff who believe that all students can learn when they are given the chance to discover new ideas in a purposeful, dynamic and supportive learning environment. In partnership with the child, their family and school staff, we create a programme that attends to the student’s academic, artistic and athletic abilities. We support our students’ learning and build their self-confidence through literacy-based programming. We value programmes that support athletics and the arts.

Facilities
Oscar Peterson P.S. was officially opened in September, 2008. It is located in a residential area in the southwestern part of Stouffville. It is also a holding school for students who reside in the South Central area.  The South Central Public School is slated to open in September 2011. Located in Oscar Peterson P.S. is an independently operated Child Care Facility run by the YMCA.

Students living within our boundaries attend Stouffville District Secondary School once they have graduated from grade 8.

Our school’s teams are named The Jazz. Our school colours are royal blue, silver and black.
